For pet groomers

Fill the grooming table, not the voicemail.

Owners book the groomer they want online and pay a deposit to hold the time. The notes on each client keep what you know about their dog, and pickup ends with a tip and a bag of treats rung up at the Register.

What pet groomers use most

  • Owners book the groomer they want
  • A deposit when they book
  • A cleanup gap after every booking
  • Notes on every client's record

Sound familiar?

What gets in the way, and what changes

No-shows on a fully booked grooming day

A missed doodle groom leaves the table empty for two hours, and the owners you turned away for that slot have gone elsewhere.

With Stacwork

Take a deposit when owners book to hold the time, and mark a no-show on the appointment when it happens.

No time between dogs

A matted coat takes longer than planned, the table still needs cleaning, and the next owner is already at the counter.

With Stacwork

Set a gap after each booking, and online booking offers only times inside each groomer's hours with that gap kept clear.

Every dog's quirks kept in your head

Which one hates the dryer, which one needs a muzzle for nails, and how short the owner likes the face, on index cards or nowhere.

With Stacwork

Write it in the notes on the owner's client record, where it is waiting the next time they book.

Online booking

  • Owners book online, day or night

Clients book an open time online for the services you mark as bookable.

  • A groomer of their choice, or anyone

Clients choose a provider, or anyone available, when more than one can do the service.

  • A deposit to hold each groom

Take a deposit when a client books, to hold the time.

  • Owners move a groom up to your cutoff

Clients cancel or move their own booking from a link in the email. Moving it online closes at the cutoff you set, and you can switch online changes off.

The grooming schedule

  • Time to clean up between dogs

Online booking offers only times inside each provider's hours, outside their time off, with the gap you set after each booking.

  • Each groomer's own hours and days off

Each person on your team sets their own hours, more than one window a day if they need it, and time off for a whole or part day from their phone. Online booking follows.

  • Tubs and tables, never double booked

Attach a room or a piece of equipment to an appointment when you schedule it, and it cannot be double booked.

  • No-shows marked on the appointment

Move work through its statuses, put a job or project on hold with a reason, mark a no-show, or reopen finished work, with every change kept in its history.

Know every client

  • Notes and tags on the owner's record

Each client has one record: contacts, service and billing addresses, notes, and tags.

  • Every invoice and payment on their timeline

Each client's timeline shows every quote, job, invoice, and payment.

  • Reminders the day before and the hour before Team and up

Appointment reminders go out the day before and an hour before, sent on their own or drafted for you to approve, as you choose.

  • Review requests after the groom Team and up

Review requests are drafted after finished work.

At the front desk

  • Pickup checkout, with tips

Check out on site: the bill comes from the work with the deposit taken off, the client can add a tip, and you charge a card, record cash or a check, or send a pay link.

  • Shampoo and treats at the Register

Ring up sales on the Register: tap catalog items, scan a barcode, or key in a custom amount, with line and order discounts.

  • Card, cash, or a QR code at the counter

Check out at the Register with cash and change due, a card on a connected reader, or the customer's own phone by QR code, split between cash and card if they like. The customer can add a tip at check out.

  • Receipts by email for every sale

Email the receipt, and find every sale later in the Sales list.

Questions from pet groomers

Straight answers about how Stacwork runs your day.

Can owners book a specific groomer online?

Yes. When more than one groomer does a service, owners choose who they want or anyone available. Online booking offers only times inside that groomer's hours and outside their time off, with the gap you set after each booking left clear for cleanup.

Can I take a deposit when owners book?

Yes. Take a deposit when an owner books, to hold the time. At pickup the bill comes from the appointment with the deposit already taken off, and if they do not show, mark the appointment a no-show.

Where do notes about each dog go?

On the owner's client record, which holds their contacts, addresses, notes, and tags. Put the dog's name, coat, and temperament in the notes, so they are on the record every time the owner books.

Do owners get a reminder before the appointment?

Yes, on Team and up. Each owner gets a reminder the day before and another an hour before, and you choose whether they send on their own or wait as drafts for you to approve.

Can I sell shampoo and treats at the front desk?

Yes. Switch on Selling products and ring up retail at the Register: tap an item, scan a barcode, or key in an amount. Take cash, a card on a connected reader, or the owner's own phone by QR code.

Can I try it before I pay anything?

Yes. Free runs the whole loop from booking to paid, and every new account gets Team free for 7 days with no card, so you can try reminders and review requests too. See the plans below.

Put next week's grooms online.

Free runs the whole loop for up to 2 people. No credit card.
